📢 Female Qaida / Qur’an Teacher

Assalamu Alaikum,

We are looking for a Female Qaida/Qur’an Teacher for our Orangeville Mosque weekend and weekday Islamic classes.

Compensation: $18 – $25/hour (based on experience)
This can also be taken as a committed volunteer opportunity for those seeking Sadaqah Jariyah.

Schedule:

  • Alternate Saturdays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (In-person)
  • Every Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (In-person)
  • Monday & Wednesday: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Online via Zoom)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Qaida and Qur’an to students based on their level
  • Help students improve pronunciation (Tajweed basics)
  • Prepare simple lesson plans for structured learning
  • Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to parents when needed
  • Conduct and manage online Zoom classes effectively

Position Requirements:

  • Graduate in any discipline (Islamic/Sharia background preferred)
  • Fluent in English
  • Prior experience teaching young children
  • Able to teach Arabic alphabets/Qaida to younger children and Qur’an to girls
  • Comfortable with in-person and online classes
  • Can pass vulnerable sector check

📢 Female Islamic Classes Coordinator

We are looking for a Female Islamic Classes Coordinator to help manage and organize our weekend in-person Islamic classes.

Compensation: $18/hour
This can also be taken as a committed volunteer opportunity for those seeking Sadaqah Jariyah.

  • Alternate Saturdays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (In-person)
  • Every Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (In-person)

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate class schedules and logistics
  • Manage student attendance and records
  • Support teachers and classroom organization
  • Assist with communication between parents and mosque
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day class operations

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable working with children and parents
  • Ability to commit consistently
